Meeting 2
Jacques Derrida, ‘University without Condition’, Without Alibi, ed. and trans. Peggy Kamuf (Stanford, CA: Stanford University Press, 2002). Derrida’s essay was 'was initially written in response to an invitation from the Presidential Lecture Series, hosted by President Gerhard Casper of Stanford University and organized by Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht in 1999’.

Sudesh Mishra, 'Siding with Things’, in Oxford Literary Review 28.1 (2006). This issue of OLR, edited by Nicholas Royle and Timothy Clark, is a special issue on the subject of The Future of the Humanities: US Domination and Other Issues.
