The reading for this next meeting is Sudesh Mishra's 'Siding with Things’, in Oxford Literary Review 28.1 (2006). 

Mishra’s essay is one of several in this special issue of OLR, in where authors living and working in different countries are asked to respond to the same question: to reflect on the US domination of the university and the humanities.
